Miguel Milá: A Life in Design is a richly illustrated tribute to one of Spain’s most influential industrial designers. Spanning over six decades of work from 1956 to 2021 this book offers an in-depth look at Milá’s timeless lighting and furniture designs, which helped shape modern Spanish design. Originally trained as an interior designer during Spain’s early modernist movement, Milá began crafting his own objects by hand using raw, renewable materials - laying the foundation for what would become an iconic body of work defined by simplicity, utility, and warmth. Featuring archival sketches, rare photographs, and new imagery captured at Milá’s Barcelona home by photographer Nacho Alegre, this volume also includes a foreword by renowned designer Jasper Morrison.
